into EVERYTHING...

and I mean EVERYTHING. Door stoppers, cabinets, drawers, the pantry, laundry, drapes, rugs, toys, and stairs! No wonder I can't seem to get anything done!

Just in case you are wondering...Hunter crawled away as fast as he could during a diaper change and made a bee-line for the stairs! How could I NOT take a picture! :)

Mom, I've been thinking....I really HATE green beans!

Hunter is our good little eater. He cries the moment he sees a bottle and goes balistic until he has it in his hands. Anything he has he eats....ALL of it. Anything we are eating he wants. He has NEVER passed on a meal or not eaten something offered to him...UNTIL...Hunter decided he really, really, really hates green beans. Hunter has had green beans at least a dozen times and he has always eaten every last bite. His strong dislike for the stringy substance started when we were in Colorado visiting Great Grandpa. He tasted one bite and spit them out...literally, SPIT it out of his mouth. Thinking this had more to do with the fact that he was exhausted that day and in desperate need of a nap I thought nothing more of his episode. We tried one other time in Colorado and Hunter started to cry when he tasted the green beans. This time nana (my mom) had tried to feed him and I was sure he was throwing a tantrum (yes, a TANTRUM...that is a whole other post) because I wasn't feeding him. When I tried to give him the delightful beans myself he threw an even bigger fit! Bath and bed soon followed. Now that we are home in North Carolina I decided to give the green beans one last chance to redeem themselves. I was sure that Hunter would be back to his old self and gobble up the greens. Go ahead....take a look......

I guess we are done with green beans.

Congratulations Michael!

It's official!! Michael passed the state and national test for his Realtor license today and we are sooo proud of him!! He flew through the classes and did great on the finals. He was nervous going into the big test today but we all knew he would do wonderfully. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! We are so proud of you, Michael!

Highlights from Colorado

First off, I've got to say that I am loving the website www.thecutestblogontheblock. They have tons of free backgrounds for your blog and I can hardly decide which one to use! For those of you who check my blog frequently, you may have noticed a few different ones in the past few days. I think I am settling on this one...for now :)

While we were in Colorado, Hunter had MANY milestones. Despite catching a terrible virus and being very sick for over a week, Hunter managed to learn how to stand up on his knees, do the REAL crawl (no more of his army crawl), pull himself up into a standing position, and walk while holding onto someone or something! It was a BIG three weeks! His new found independence has turned him into quite a different little kid! He is still very joyful and lots of fun...but he has discovered how to throw "fits" (a trait I am sure came from his dad!) and has decided that naps and bedtime really aren't for him. At only 8 months I am a little worried! His little personality is sure adorable though and we still love him to pieces.

I think Hunter looks like a toddler in the pic above! I can't believe how fast he is growing!

The picture below makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. He is so curious about everything.

Refreshing Stop

I am backtracking a bit but thought I would post some pics of our stop in Kansas. On our three day drive from North Carolina to Colorado we decided to break up the trip and stop to see some friends in Kansas. Jessica and Julie are both college buddies and it was wonderful to see them! Jessica and Joel just had a baby girl, named Cora, and Julie and Ian are expecting a baby boy! The trip was quick (just one night) but it was well worth a few extra miles!

Quick Pics to Suffice...

I have been meaning to blog but just haven't found the time!! Hunter and I just returned from Colorado and are now facing the daunting task of getting our house sold!! I have so many updates and pictures to post that I have been avoiding the blog all together! I still haven't downloaded the last few months of pictures so for now I will just post a few family pics that we had done while we were in Colorado. My old wedding partner, Sandra, took these for us and they are amazing. If you are looking for a good photographer check her out at www.naturalexpressions-photography.com!! We love you, Sandra!!

Just in case you were wondering... YES, I temporarily lost my mind and chopped 7 inches off of my hair. I still don't know what I was thinking!

Colorado Here We Come!

Well, many of you know this already but we are headed back to Colorado!! While we have enjoyed North Carolina and have finally felt more at home here, the Lord has opened up some doors for us and given us an opportunity we just couldn't pass up. Michael will be working with my mom (Denise) and Keller Williams in Real Estate and we feel it will be a great fit for Michael's gifts with people and serving them. We are excited to get back but it is also bittersweet leaving here. We have established many wonderful friendships and God has allowed us to be blessed by many people here. We will especially miss our dear neighbors who have been great friends to Michael and I, our Life Group, our cousins (Hunter's best buddy, Gannon), and Michael's work peers. God has been very faithful while we have been here in providing all of our needs and we know that He will continue to do so as we move across country one more time. Please pray that our house will sell quickly as I will be staying behind until we are able to sell it.

Enjoy some recent pics of Hunter. He is 7 months old now and busy as ever. He has finally gotten his first two bottom front teeth (they have been a long time coming!) and he is managing to get from point A to point B in no time.

My good friend Chantelle came for a visit in May and we loved having her!

Hunter LOVES his doggie "Cassie" and plays with her all the time.
