Update!

Well, I am FINALLY getting around to updating our blog! By now, most of you know that Michael and I are expecting a little boy to arrive around October 22nd. We have been very busy preparing and getting things ready. We have also been blessed with many visitors in the last few months. Michael's family came for a week over Memorial Day and my friends from college came for a visit early this month. What a joy it has been to see familiar faces and have the support of our friends and family. We are looking forward to my family making the trip later this week. Michael and I will be going back to Colorado July 12-16th for a family wedding. It will be a fast trip but we hope to be able to see some of you!

The news that I was pregnant came a little sudden for us and our plans of me substitute teaching went right out the window! I have been helping out at Michael's office every now and then but mostly I have been home. It has been wonderful to be able to keep up with housework, cooking, and decorating! I am very fortunate and grateful to the Lord (and Michael!) for the opportunity. It has been a bit of a challange but the Lord has provided every step of the way.

Michael is enjoying his job and hopes to be doing more sales in the near future. Most of his work revolves around accouting and book keeping at this point.

We will post pictures soon! Stay in touch and visit frequently for updates!

Colorado Blizzard & Move to North Carolina

Michael and I spent Christmas in Colorado before making the 25 hour trek to North Carolina with my mom and dad and Michael's mom. Our trip was between two HUGE blizzards in Colorado and we arrived December 29th only to learn that our furniture and all of our belongings were caught in the 2nd blizzard and would not be arriving until January 3rd. We "camped" in our new house and made the best of our situation by cleaning the house top to bottom and painting various rooms. Michael has started his job with Bottom Line Medical and he is enjoying the new challenges and work enviroment. I have been busy unpacking boxes and trying to make our new house a home. I plan to substitute teach for awhile until I find something else. I will be traveling to Arizona to see my grandparents at the end of February and will begin teaching the beginning of March. We miss everyone very much and we are still adjusting to life in the "South" but we know that this is where the Lord wants us and we are trying our best to make it our new home. Let us know how you all are...we would love to hear from you!

Christmas 2006

Christmas 2006 was celebrated with lots of family! Before Christmas we were able to get together with all of Michael's family. We enjoyed seeing Annie (Michael's grandma), Aunt Joan & Rick, and all the cousins! Kara and Kurt came from Nebraska with Michael John and Kristiana. It was great to be able to see them before we had to make the big move! A blizzard hit Colorado right before Christmas and mom was in Arizona with Grandma and Grandpa so she was not able to make it back until Christmas night. Michael and I celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Kendra and Ryan, Chris & Syd, Jasmine, Mackenzie, and Braden.

Arizona Trip to see Grandma and Grandpa

Mom, Dad, Kendra, and I went to Arizona to visit with Grandma and Grandpa in August. We had a great time visiting and catching up. Grandma told us stories of her childhood and many memories that she has.

We cherished the time together with them and I am anxiously awaiting another visit at the end of February.
