that don't just look at the blog for recent pics of Hunter :) And the reason it is for those "true" friends is because I have no way of downloading pics until I can get my camera cord out of our PODS, which happen to still be in North Carolina! So, instead of exciting pictures, you get words...lots of words.
The latest as of today...
Still house hunting. Didn't get the Patio Home in Gleneagle. We thought it was too good to be true and, well, it was. I am having a hard time finding a house because we have been a bit spoiled and our wants aren't exactly matching up with our budget. The other problem is that everything I like just so happens to be a pre-foreclosure. Pre-foreclosure is really code for WAIT FOREVER, have agent's commission cut at closing table (that sort of affects us since the agent is Michael), and get excited only to have it fall apart after weeks if not months. I am in love with a fixer-upper in Gleneagle but I haven't quite convinced my husband that it's "the one" and the other catch is that it is, of course, a pre-foreclosure.
Where that leaves us...
If I can convince Michael that it is in fact our "dream home" (with a little TLC...ok...a LOT of TLC) we will have to put an offer on it and then wait and wait and wait to see if it would work. Meanwhile, we scored an AWESOME fixed interest rate before rates went back up but it is only secured for 60 days. It would be a MIRACLE if we could close in 60 days with a foreclosure. Our second choice is a quaint little house in Briargate that is not a foreclosure. We could surely close on that in time to keep our interest rate. SO...now we just have to decide which one to pursue. Decisions, decisions. Pros and cons to both. And yes, we have looked at TONS of houses. Michael said this morning that he doesn't want to look at another house again. Umm...that might be a bit of a problem seeing how that is...umm...kind of his job now :) Haha. I am pretty sure he was referring to our own house hunting.
Hunter news...
Hunter is adjusting well for the most part but has had a really hard time breathing here. He struggled with severe reflux as an infant but his congestion has worsened in Colorado. We took him to the doctor and discovered he has his first ear infection. Hopefully, this is the source of his worsened congestion and it isn't something more serious. Please pray for him if he comes to mind as simple things like drinking a bottle have become very difficult for him.

Laurabelle,
I had the same problem when we were looking for a house. What I wanted did not match our budget!! I will keep you in our prayers and Hunter too!! Love you all,
Anne
Sorry about all the house stress...we will keep praying. If you get tired of looking for houses you can always take a few weeks off and come to Kansas!
Good luck with everything!! House hunting is so "fun!" lol
I hope that we get to see ya'll tomorrow :)
