We could not have started it off any better. Hunter wore this ADORABLE shirt...

It was handmade with love by Cora's Mom and Grammy.
I thought of Cora a whole lot today.
I stole that picture from Cora's (the shop). I didn't take the photo. I thought I should clarify that.
To clarify further, I didn't take ANY pictures today.
Zero. Zip. Nada.
Not because I didn't want to...but because I couldn't.
My camera decided it didn't feel like working anymore...on one of the most important days of the year!
I immediately took it to the only camera shop that was open today and they estimated that it would cost $300 to fix. Minimum.
Fantastic.
Oh yeah, and it would take 5-8 weeks.
Awesome.
You might recall my recent computer problems. If not, it really isn't worth reading about. All you really need to know is that the last time I spoke about the dreaded computer I was getting ready to throw it out the window.
I think technology hates me.
And I am a teensy-tiny, itty-bitty FRUSTRATED.
Moving on...
Despite the aforementioned problems, we did manage to have a great 4th of July. We saw Grandpa (aka Great Papa) for lunch and enjoyed delicious food and fellowship. Later, we had some family and friends over for a BBQ. So much fun. We finished off the night with a great fireworks display at the Air Force Academy...and we didn't even have to leave our house! Our view was great right from the front porch!
I always get a little teary eyed watching the big fireworks show. What an amazing country we live in...and what extraordinary sacrifices have been made by so many men and women to make it amazing.
We are truly blessed. You do know this, right?!
Once again, we thank all those who are serving our country NOW. And we thank those who have served, in any capacity, in the past.
THANK YOU.
Let freedom ring and may GOD bless America!
